After our first consultation I will have a better idea of the type of birth you are desiring. It will also allow us to break the ice and get to know each other better. It is important to me that I know likes, dislikes, and how you like to be cared for. Childbirth is such an intimate experience that Your Truth Doula wants to enhance for you with personalized tools and techniques I will bring with me to delivery day! You will be equipped with necessary information, questions, comfort measures and birthing positions. I will be an advocate for you and will be there to support all your birthing decisions. You are hiring me to work for you but most importantly to work with you through this magical journey.

Your body has housed your baby, endured labor and birthed a baby, it is now time for your body to heal. The postpartum healing period is essential to both mommy and baby. During this time you are to be cared for, pampered, and simply rewarded for the work that you have done. The more relaxed you are during these times the better you can tend to your little one. This healing period can go a lot smoother when you don’t have to worry about cooking dinner, continuously trying to keep the house clean, or feeling like a burden when not knowing how to express your feelings. Whatever your postpartum needs may be I want to create a safe space where the mother can feel free to be babied if need be. I offer several postpartum bundles which will all be customized to fit your individual needs.

Postpartum bundles include peer breastfeeding counseling

Liquid Gold. That is what your body produces for your baby! The idea of being the sole provider of nutrients for your baby is beyond rewarding. As beautiful as a bonding time it is, it isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. Breastfeeding is hard work! Your baby is demanding your body to produce just the right amounts for him and just the right nutrient components. These can be tough times. When you don’t have proper information and support regarding breastfeeding, it can become discouraging. As a breastfeeding counselor I open my ears and my brain to you, helping you with any objections that might arise during this journey, especially within the first few weeks and months.
